ENDANGERED INSTRUMENTS
PROGRAM
FRENCH HORN | OBOE | BASSOON | DOUBLE BASS
MVYSO'S ENDANGERED INSTRUMENT PROGRAM is designed to help students who wish to switch or double on instruments that are sought after by high school, university, and independent symphony orchestras.
THESE SPECIAL instruments have a rich history dating back centuries and are beloved by composers for their distinct sound. Because of their unusual qualities, young musicians often shy away from trying them or do not have the opportunity to play them due to a lack of availability and qualified teachers.
STUDENTS who have discovered the joy of playing and mastering these instruments often find they have more solo opportunities, a higher chance for competition placement, and higher probability of college scholarships.
IF YOU have always wanted to play an instrument as unique as you are, we can help!
